CLOSING CEREMONY AND DINNER: IMAGES

The Congress closing was marked by acknowledgements done to the self-sacrificing work of various members of the organization, and also to those who made reality this meeting of excellence.

Celebrating and dancing by sunset

In the third night of Congress, the official closing dinner was held, where various awards were given to members of the organization, such as the awarding of the PANLAR Masters of Rheumatology nomination and the delivery of the Aníbal Ruíz Moreno Gold Medal.

With them, the members of the Executive Committee highlighted the work and dedication of Dr. Santiago Rivero, who headed the organization and execution of this event.

During the ceremony, Dr. Antonio Ximenes, PANLAR President for 2010-2012, made his first public intervention in office. His speech put the rheumatic patient in the center of the Pan American League of Associations of Rheumatology during the next two years. Dr. Ximenes left the floor for Dr. Adil Samara, who also addressed the audience.

The dinner had quite a full attendance, which enjoyed the evening and the dance, which featured a live band.

Final conclusions

Dr. Miguel Gutiérrez, PANLAR 2010 Executive Secretary, delivered the preliminary results that features about 1,200 participants, and the detail of the countries present in the meeting. The closing was made by Dr. Francisco Radrigán, President of the Sociedad Chilena de Reumatología, in his quality of leader of the host society in this relevant activity. Both thanked the contribution of the exhibitors and the enthusiasm of all the attendants.
